Safety, Rules, and Hire
To help ensure the event runs smoothly, safeguard our equipment, and protect the children using it, we kindly ask that the adult making the booking follows the safety rules outlined below.
The adult who booked with Little Driver NZ must carefully read, sign, and date this agreement. One signed copy should be kept by the hirer, and another must be provided to a member of the Little Driver NZ team.
Safety Rules & Conditions of Hire
- Deliberate collisions with other vehicles or equipment are strictly prohibited
- Children must face forward while driving.
- No food, drink, or liquids are to be consumed on or near the vehicles and equipment.
- For outdoor events: if it begins to rain, all vehicles and equipment must be immediately covered using the protective covers we provide. The area must remain clear of obstacles, debris, and animal waste.
- There must be suitable vehicle access to the venue, with sufficient parking nearby for a van, and easy access to the designated driving area. Entrances and pathways must be at least 2ft 6in wide and free from obstructions.
- Vehicles will arrive fully charged and typically operate for around two hours. If a battery runs flat, do not attempt to charge the vehicles yourself.
- Please switch off vehicles when not in use to extend battery life throughout the event.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times. They must remain seated in the vehicles while driving. Remote controls are for adult use only and should be kept inside the vehicle when not in use.
- Children must not stand, jump, or climb in or on the vehicles.
- Vehicles are not to be used by anyone over the age of 8.
- Children must not walk or run in front of or behind moving vehicles.
- While our vehicles and equipment are well maintained, in rare cases, mechanical issues or damage may occur. If so, the event will continue with the remaining equipment. No refunds or compensation will be given.
- Please inform a Little Driver NZ team member honestly if any damage occurs during hire.
- If any equipment is damaged or missing, the damage deposit will not be refunded. For significant damage or loss, an invoice will be issued to cover the costs.
